Nichoir
A reveal of beauty embellished
NICHOIR began like a dream — an ink blot test of fashion, a mirror that lets each person interpret their own reflection. Born from sketches in paper and ink, it is a study of the imagination: complex, foggy, luminous shapes translated into garments.
For me, NICHOIR is a view, a sensation, a fleeting spark before it fully reveals itself. Like its Old French name, meaning birdcage, it is both something rare to observe and something that must eventually be released. Nichoir is my cage of ideas — and I open it to the world.
Philosophy
NICHOIR exists within a constant dialogue between old and new, light and dark, intimacy and distance. It is rooted in the discipline of traditional tailoring, where cut and detail define elegance, yet it refuses to stay confined by tradition alone. Every garment looks toward new methods, textures, and forms, reimagining how clothing can be worn and how it can be perceived. At the core is a devotion to quality and texture, where the touch of fabric and the integrity of construction are as important as the silhouette itself.
NICHOIR is not bound by gender; the pieces are inspired by the structure of menswear tailoring, yet they are created with the intention of being worn by anyone. The philosophy is simple but radical: clothing as an interpretation, like an ink blot test — subjective, personal, and infinite.
Craft & Design
At the heart of NICHOIR is the pursuit of pleasure in craftsmanship. Every detail, every stitch, every ornament is chosen with intent: embroidery, metalwork, texture, and silhouette coming together in tension and harmony.
NICHOIR is both gothic and romantic, fragile and defiant. It embodies the beauty of contradiction.
